Discussion about
What do you all think of the building? Seems to have a large number of small apartments. Is this a building/neighborhood that will likely hold its value (relative to others, of course). Also, how would you characterize the owners/tenants living there? Thank you.

Thank you. I was also trying to see if folks had a point of view on buying an apartment (a larger one potentially) in a building that has been cut up into a large number of small apartments. Any insights on that, as well as on 720 Greenwich, would be appreciated.
Nice building. I wanted to buy there, but there was nothing available that worked for me. I have looked at several apartments and live up the street. I happen to like to location. You are close to everything but not on the main drag so it is quieter. You will have to walk a few blocks to the subway to west fourth or christopher street. I agree with the article. The tourists can be annoying (but not nearly as bad as soho). The streets are beautiful and there are tons of great restaurants. All in all I love living in the area and I am buying something nearby. I have lived on the upper eastside, union square area, flatiron area, sutton place, UN area, and this is the best by far.
As for a larger apt. with many other smaller units, you have less risk but more people and it is likely that you will have more turnoever/singles in the smaller units.
