Discussion about
I know there have been a lot of threads about this but I’ve got to ask again. What are the best companies/builders for closet build-outs? I am doing a small walk-in, and two or 3 standard closets. Specific names and info would be greatly appreciated.
I am a designer and have always used Doi Casa to handle my clients custom built ins. I did use athea/mark wilkinson showroom in financial district once and they were excellent but a bit more pricier then your average wood worker.
hope this helps.
jasieg - what are looking for, in terms of high end, low end, some DIY? We used easyclosets.com in our place. You can do the design yourself, with the help of their online tool, or use one of their designers (no cost). They ship it out to you pretty quickly, and then you put it together (IKEA style connections, but slightly more robust), and hang them. They custom-cut it to fit your dimensions. They have a good amount of accessories - you can even go to the showroom in Jersey (20-30 minutes from the GW bridge) to see the stuff in person. It is pretty economical and looks good if you are willing/want to do it yourself. Just be sure to measure accurately, because you are responsible for the dimensions being correct.
We were doing a reno of our apt, so we had the contractor install the hanging bar since you really need that to be installed well, but assembled and hung them ourselves.
There are recent threads on this with good uptodate info. Why repost?
