What's a ballpark figure for moving a door over a foot or so?

$2000 for custom solid door/framing/trim, $500 for the light switch, $500 for drywall, $300 to prime/paint- all based on our recent work.

No ballpark. Depends on how strict your bldg is with contractors, and what's in the wall? Electricals, studs in the way, etc... If you live in a loosy-goosy bldg, and you know that there is nothing in the wall, metal studs - it could be as little as a few hundred dollars (assume you're reusing the door and moldings). If it's a strict co-op, yes, could even be more than 5k.

raddoc has it about right. If you are just moving the door, I assume that you are reusing the door and probably can resuse most the the trim/framing. So $1500-$2000 without a new door.
