DOB timing

What has your experience been with getting a reno permit from DOB? We have an expediter and submitted our paperwork 2 weeks ago and our expediter is saying that the DOB is so busy that they havent even assigned a reviewer to us yet. We are already in a temporary sublet and I dread to think what a delay in DOB would do to our overall renovation schedule. Anyone btdt? Thanks.

30-40 days is the review process...architects can do professional certification and approve it faster but this may be autited when request for signoff is submitted either way it wil take at least 30 days. I used a company called citydrafters they were very fast and professional

I've used lots of different expediters, few will have much impact on the initial review. You've already waited two week, so just be patient. Depending on the building, you can probably start some of the work before permits. Non-structural demo for example.
