Discussion about
Hi, I am going to leaving my rental for a purchase. It will be available mid-july/August. My lease is good through the end of November. November is a free month that I got as a part of my lease deal. So you would get 4 months for the price of 3. This is a good options for someone who will need a short term rental. Or, if you want an apartment in the Archive and there is not one available that fits your needs. Please let me know if you have an interest and I will contact you directly.

Finally, a bit of sense. Giving the free month to the person taking over the balance of your lease instead of seeking to recover 100% of the 4 months.
Now what do you do with the security deposit issue?

IN all honesty, you are probably too early to find someone to move in August, and who knows how big that market is.

The new renter would have to put their application in with Rockrose and put the normal security deposit - 1 month. I get mine back (hopefully) once I vacate. I am not trying to make any money on the deal. I am just trying to limit my cost of moving to an apartment I am buying. I have really enjoyed living here. It was just a temporary option while I was looking to buy. I know it is early. I figured there might be someone who has a lease ending that will want to line things up or maybe someone who is planning a renovation who need something short-term. I will keep posting until I find someone....

You are way early for the market.
Would your landlord take a buy-out equal to one month (the same month you are giving to the new party anyway), in exchange for having the inventory available at prime time vs. in November?

Splaken, you may be right that I am early. If no one is interested now, I will check in about a month.
