I think this is about the point where the bull narrative starts to turn from "the market has bottomed" back to "you bears are all evil and want people to suffer."

Smart people buy when fear is highest. Dumb people sit on the sidelines patting themselves on the back for staying out of the market (gosh, I'm so damn smart!), meanwhile missing out on a huge opportunity. The exact same thing happened 14 months ago - no doubt all of you thought you were geniuses then, until the market went straight up 50% or so, completely confounding you. Cheers.

Evil Bears?
Was Lot evil when he recommended to the folks in Sodom and Gamorah that RE investment at this moment would be unwise?
Was Lot evil as he ran from those towns when he said to his wife, "take a look back there and tell me what's happening, you know how I drive, I don't want to take my eyes off the road". OK...that was a little evil but, she was a loud mouth penthouse terrace owning know it all.

Yes.
But the broker who yelled "buy now or be priced out forever" and sold everyone the real estate there right before it evaporated is now claiming they were right all along.

Not as high as March 2009, obviously, but still pretty high. Europe, N Korea, the oil spill, etc etc etc - it will always be something (the future is not clear!!!). The bottom line is...the future is never clear. If you wait until everybody agrees that everything is perfect, you will pay a dear price for stocks. The best time to buy stocks is when everyone else thinks they are worthless and is selling - I have seen quite a bit of that sentiment recently.

actually, more like 85% bsex---i dont feel dumb having lightened up on stocks well above here---and i do feel a bit vindicated to have not just sat there patting myself on the back for being very long at the high, while fundamentals reeked as badly as they did, and most pundits continued to expound bullishly
and i caught the early 09 low.....sold way early and shorted for a while til i got turned around....i know it can never be all roses; but to dimiss those who doubt wildly strong markets is truly dumb
'Tis but a scratch
