They paid $83,000,000+ in 2008, which comes to anywhere from $450-$480 per saleable square foot, depending on how much of the ground floor will end up saleable. Then they have to account for the long wait for all the tenants to vacate. They've got permits for more than a million in renovation costs so far, so the actual expenditure will be some multiple of that.
