Discussion about
Need some help. I am hoping to sell my small mixed-use building in Manhattan and am considering two brokers: Massey-Knakal and Besen and Associates. I've heard conflicting things about each company. Can anybody offer any thoughts on which might be the better choice? Or any advice or suggestions in general? Would much appreciate all responses.

i think its a bad choice, Massey- is known for LIC and parts of Bklyn. For Manhattan, (if its prime) i would use a real company like CBRE. if you need a broker i can recommend an excellent broker.

I don't sell buildings -- I do residential -- but I think the decision would be the same -- you'd be picking a broker based on price and service.

Well, how do you measure service? I'd talk to former clients -- even the ones that the firms offer you, who are obviously happy customers willing to give testimonials, are going to shed some insight on what the process is like, and I think that will help.
