Discussion about
We have a beautiful quiet 2bd, 2bath with amenities, pool, etc. in Delray 5 minutes from beach. Are you interested in swapping for at least a one bedroom in Manhattan, for 6 mos. or 1 year? Delray Beach is close to Boca, West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, FL jenn7347@yahoo.com

Set your sights on a studio in Bushwick or Bed Stuy, Brooklyn and you MIGHT get a bite.

I was originally excited because it was confusing it with Del Mar

What's the maintenance like on something like that?

$40 is the mortgage payment (they claim) on a 30 year. Cheaper than a hotel room.

Around $350/month ... it's a 55+ megadevelopment, similar to Century Village.

Most unfortunately, I don't think one can get a mortgage for $10K, or at least not at 3% down. And very very sadly not at 125% LTV :(

This is not a 55+ community and nothing like Century Village. This is a spacious modern secure condo five story building.
The condo, located on the 4th floor has an enclosed lanai overlooking a gorgeous lake. Neighborhood is very quiet and private. It is a gem, a five minute
car ride from the beach and quaint downtown delray.
We are looking to swap for 6 mos or longer for a Manhattan apartment, preferably 1 bedroom. Wife needs medical
care at Sloan Kettering. I will be working on the west side. We are a very responsible mature non smoking, non partying couple.
Serious can respond to jenn7347@yahoo.com

If you like to fish, Delray Beach is home to the Two Georges marina, where some great charter captains go after sailfish, mahi mahi, amberjack, and other sport fish.

I can't leave NYC at the moment but 6 months in Delray Beach is tempting!

Jenn sorry to hear about your wife; not sure this is the right place to look for a swap; maybe you should just look for a six month sublet

Yeah, but no bank will lend you that little money. The only way to buy the place with a loan would be to put it on your credit card.

Rong! Banks will make *personal* loans for amounts like that:

Pretty soon, we'll see the convergence of the mortgage industry and microfinance -- micromortgage. Fun for all.
