Want to bike on the new bike path on upper westside down towards the battery. Can anyone recommend a restaurant, and how safe is it to lock bikes outside?

Try going to Pao on Spring St There's also the Ear inn and a number of other restaurants. The area reminds me of Europe with all the outdoor tables and places to eat.
