I agree with Prada--Inatesso--had lunch there yesterday--very good; walk over to Haru (wall st), Harry's (stone st) and Harry's Pizza Bar (gold st) and all the Tribeca places. Yesterday, walked over to Balthazar in Soho for cocktails!

The Harrison is a solid choice... Tribeca Grill also delivers - nothing exceptional, but good... Kori is decent Korean... Takahachi is great sushi!

BPC is kinda short on restaurants; Gigino's is good, but nothing else really stands out. I'm a fan of Ivy's in Tribeca and Ward 3. Dean's is good for pizza, though not as good as Lombardi's, which does not deliver to BPC, sadly.

Sorry, movinup, got distracted while responding: Ivy's is a good bet for breakfast. Classier than a typical diner but still reasonably priced.

I'm also a fan of Blaue Gans.

Le Pain Quotidien just opened in northern BPC...in the Riverhouse. Nice breakfast/lunch and lots of great treats and wonderful breads.

SHO Shaun Hergatt is a beautiful restaurant (on Broad St., very close to the NYSE) with food beautifully presented... art on a plate!

Take advantage of the Restaurant Week (only lunch) special $24.07 which will last thru Labor Day.

For dinner, it's about $100pp (including tip and tax)....Wine is very expensive - by the glass, around $24.
It's really an extraordinary experience.

I call it "The Pain Quotient"

But seriously, "Quotidian" in English means 'commonplace', 'routine', and by extension maybe even 'dull' ... so the retail chain is called "The dreary bread".

Pan Latin at the very north of BPC--chambers street all the way west. Very local spot.

Quotidian means more literally daily. So it translates to The daily bread. I do agree that the place is mediocre.

Pan Latin has good food but takes the "Latin" aspect very seriously as well - you will not get in and out of there in under an hour and a half for a simple breakfast. I think they actually milk the cows to make the cheese before cooking your omelet. Izzy and Nat's is okay, nothing special; I prefer walking to Zuckers, myself.

Alan and HSW are both right - quotidian means daily, but the chain's offerings are overpriced and pretty dreary.

Not what Movinup is looking for, but Mangez Avec Moi and the Viet Cafe are both good, too.

Nah, its yet another of the waiters from Luger's opening steakhouses.

But isn't that like the guy who washes cars starting a car manufacturer?

Oh! Duh. My favorite restaurant is Landmarc. I don't go often, so it didn't come immediately to mind.
