Discussion about
That's a sensible thing by streeteasy But before that occurred, why couldn't kylewest be a man and acknowledge his extreme error?
Sorry. Not defamatory, if true. It was true. They corrected it. End of story.
You are feeding the troll.
It wasn't true. The post didn't simply say that there was an error in the posting at 30 Fifth Avenue, which would have been true.
The post talked about intentional deception by the broker. That the broker should be ashamed for purposely tricking people. And accordingly, kylewest mentioned the broker by name, in the headline, to emphasize that he was stating it was an intentional act by the broker.
So while the the ad included something incorrect, the benign explanation of a technical problem seemed significantly more plausible to anyone looking, especially given all of the surrounding clear facts. And then the broker's response, as well as third party input including streeteasy's and front_porch's, I think pretty clearly pointed to an unintentional error, NOT a clear and explicit intentional deception.
So it was defamatory.
And it was hasty.
And streeteasy eventually did the right thing by deleting it.
But kylewest never apologized. He just moved on.
so much space and time is wasted on hate and then apologies while i leave a post regarding high maintenance and low prices and no one responds...when is streeteasy going to be a real estate web site again?
That's a fair question julia.
Like kylwest's defamatory post demonstrates, people here like to blame, accuse, curse, etc. kylewest, who in the past has given his ideas on buildings, neighborhoods, co-op boards, renovations, etc. etc. couldn't help but to hastily lash out, start a new thread, without provocation, assuming and accusing the worst, when better and more benign explanations were available. It's perplexing.
and you've declared yourself chief of police.
Citizen on patrol
