Need an apartment and my score is not good? Can anyone recommend a landlord that would consider me? Thank you.

I am a LL and 650 is about my cut off for waning an extra month security or not, depending on income and bank balance also.
I would just state on your application that you are willing to do this. Whenever I see that on an application, its a BIG plus...
Good luck, and remember there are thousands of LLs in the city and we do not all operate the same
In my many years of renting, I noticed your credit is the most important aspect in a LL's decision to take you.
I remember one landlord quite vividly, didn't want to know anything about my salary, my assets, my stamp collection. Just my credit report and one statement, "Just pay your rent on time."
Should find every way possible to get your credit score to 700 and better.
That is true for me. I care much more about someone's credit score (how well they pay bill on time) than how much they make or have saved
(for example: I don't want someone who makes $250K a year and doesn't pay his/her bills. I rather have someone who makes $80K and lives within their means)
"That is true for me. I care much more about someone's credit score (how well they pay bill on time) than how much they make or have saved"
And what about someone who was unemployed for 18 months, blew through their savings, stopped paying their bills because they just couldn't, but now are back on their feet with a new job and a ruined credit report?
