Abington Properties- Terrible Experience

Hi all, Just wanted to report a terrible experience that I had with Abington Properties. I have been a tenant in one of their buildings for four years. Upon renewal of my lease, I was: -Lied to about the availability of other apartments for rent in the building -Lied to about our security deposit. We were told that we could have part of our 3 month security deposit refunded, only to find out after we re-signed our lease that we would have to have renegotiated that before signing the lease. -Denied a week long extension on the renewal of our lease, despite the fact that we still had 6 weeks to go before our lease actually ended. -Lied to about the resigning of our lease; our property manager denied seeing an email and receiving a phone call, though we have records that both were made during the time period in question. We have been manipulated in every way possible. Our property manager does not return phone calls or emails, and tricked us into resigning our lease under false pretense. Since I called her out on this, she has not responded to a phone call/email. I would advise you not to rent from Abington Properties. They seem to lack moral conscience, and have been a nightmare to deal with. [less]
