Discussion about
Good Day SE, Has anyone purchased their credit score from fico.com or myfico.com? Liz Pulliam Weston, explained, fico.com or myfico.com is the score lenders use. What is the difference between the 3 credit reporting agencies and fico?

The three sources are different companies: Equifax, Transunion and Experian. They all use versions of the Fair Isaac Company ("FICO") algorithm. Most major discrepancies reflect differences in data gathering methods, not scoring.

A lender may simply use the middle score. Naturally, if one score is an outlier, it will trigger additional scrutiny.

By the way, I don't think there any reason to order credit reports through Fair Issac (fico/myfico). You can go straight to the bureaus.
