Did you read the article? Control for other factors is directly addressed, and it is exactly the opposite of what you are asserting.

In fact, when other factors aren't controlled for, the studies found benefits to owning. It is only when you introduce control factors into the study that you find no benefits to homeownership -- and that homeowners are heavier.

This finding applies only to homo sapiens ohioanis

uf, tons of studies (retail especially) use samples from ohio. they claim they represent the typical middle class in USA, midwest ok, but from the coasts!?!!? wft!?!? they seem to me as people from totally different countries (NYC versus ohio)
