Does anyone have personal recommendations of any particular dog walking/daycare places on the UES? In general, how flexible can you make arrangements with dog walkers? I've never needed services like this before but i'll probably need it on and off with a couple days notice at most. If you call a service same-day to make an appointment for a walker is that reasonable or do you need a weekly arrangement. How do services like this work in full service buildings? Do you give them a key (or the doorman?) and leave ongoing notice that someone will be coming to take the dog out 'sometimes'? Seems strange to leave an ongoing notice to the doorman but i'm assuming that is how things are done. Thanks!
You're probably familiar with Biscuits and Bath on First Avenue at East 80th Street. If not, it's a doggy day care center.
In my rental building, dog walkers sign in with the doorman. You probably would want to leave the key at the front desk and have the dog walker return the key after walking the dog.
Check out Care.com, it's a really good site to find resource. I found my babysitter through this site and she is great!!!
Don't know but I watch dogs for overnights and vacations - small ones.
I like Biscuits and Bath; they are really nice and care about your dog....
Hi! I personally recommend Swifto! As long as you give at least 5 business hours' notice, they guarantee that they'll have someone available which is great. They also GPS-track the route that the walker takes so you can see it and the walker sends pics after every walk!
