Discussion about
I would like to know how you found your place...more specifically, can you help me to find a place with what you know and who you know? I'm looking for a 2 bedroom with a $1400 budget. Good income, fair credit. Let me know. Thanks.

professionalthinker:

You might try Bedford Stuyvesant a/k/a Clinton Hill. the less prime market
really weekened there.

But I think professionalthinker's looking for 7 days a week, so that won't work.

Are you on crack? A 2 bedroom for $1400 (I assume you mean per month and not per week)? Not in any part of NYC I've ever heard of.

gcondo - you probably could find one in harlem or hamilton heights/washington heights. I would try the latter first. I don't know any other part of Manhattan that you could find a 2br for 1400. Am not familiar with the areas off the island.

If that's truly your max budget and you want an easy rental -- but can deal with drear and ickyness and the like -- try http://www.3333bway.com/ at 135th St.

julia, if by that you mean with a wall, temporary or otherwise, OP should be informed that there's been a Fire Dept. / DOB crackdown on that lately. So not a good idea.
