best way to get out of a lease...

what kind of lease and why? I was let out of my rent stabalized lease as i just purchased an apartment. Most they are making me pay is one additional months rent after the month i move out.

Just as Mikev asked... what is the reason why? If you simply want to get out of a lease, your best bet may be to just ask the landlord to break your lease. I understand that this could be something that you don't want to discuss, but because of the variables we may need to know more to accurately help you.

Maybe you can sublet for the remaining time on your lease.
