Discussion about
Hi, The taxes in this building seem higher than the taxes in comparable buildings in the UWS. Does anyone have any idea why? Thanks.

~$1K per month in taxes on a two-bedroom seems within bounds. What're you comparing it to?

In NYC, real estate taxes on condos are based on a formula that includes what the units would rent for if they were rented out. I'm guessing the spiffiness of the Bromley's gym (an extensive health club with a pretty nice pool) is keeping it "comparable" with newer luxury rentals even though it's an 80s building.

In my recent experience the rental market in the Bromley is certainly holding up. My firm just represented an owner there in a sublet transaction, and it was a pretty easy deal.

Can anyone who lives in the Bromley tell me the pros and cons of the building?
