In the process of renting our apartment at 392 CPW, along the way I found potentially great tenants with a wonderful dog, an ideal match to rent our Jumbo 1 bedroom as a pier-de-tier. It should be noted that previous to meeting the dog, I was not interested in renting to folks with pets.
I was dumb founded to see in the lease package presented to the tenent, restrictions on unit owners renting to pet owners and I never recall such a policy to exist outside of a COOP building.
This is the first I am hearing of such a rule and now fear this is a deal breaker.
I strongly feel infringed upon by a third party particularly because this is a CONDO and not a COOP.
Can anyone provide some guidance and suggest next step actions and how I should handle this matter?
