Discussion about
where is a reasonable place to get moving boxes new or used for moving? thanks
used lead to bedbuggery
I used metroboxes.com, but they appear to be out of business. try uline.com -

Buy some at Staples or Mailboxes, etc., then go to your neighborhood liquor store for some used ones.
The ones you buy should be fairly large and you should use them for lightweight stuff and for dishes.
The ones from the liquor store will be smaller and you can put heavy stuff in them, like books.
Liquor boxes are the sturdiest kind of boxes, and won't have any exposure to bedbugs. They're also free and plentiful.
Any place that sells computers will have tons of great boxes... the old crt monitor boxes were the best, but I imagine they hardly exist anymore. But, I've found that walking around PC Richard's or Best Buys is a good way to get them.
If you are going with new boxes (Say from U-Haul), it's just as cost-effective to go to Walmart and buy the big plastic bins with lids, no assembly or packing tape required and they stack real nice. Done it many times and won't go back to cardboard.
thank you all!
one more to consider--i just ordered a bunch: moveout.com
