I'm a bi Colbert fan, but talk about inappropriate... -------------------------------------------------- While some Republicans criticized Democrats for inviting Colbert, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told Fox News that she believes it's "appropriate." http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/09/24/stephen-colbert-appears-capitol-hill-hearing-illegal-immigrants/

Was it appropriate for the Bush Admin. to allow a male prostitute into the White Hosue press corps?

and shrub and co stalled endlessly re applications for access from legitimate journalists who differed politically with shrub---

incredible, they had this ultr-right-wing blog reporter with zero resume throwing softballs at shrub, while established columnists from national newspapers couldnt get in the corps--and they blamed delays on patriot act, when they had done so little due dilly on gannon, they didnt know he was an actively advertising prostitute

Riversider makes a point. A Republican controlled Congress would never allow a comedian to testify.

We already set the high water mark of Congress wasting time with famous people when Roger Clemens testified. Colbert is actually illuminating an issue where something good might be legislated.
