Unusual number of townhouses/brownstones for sale

Just noticed this last week the large number of townhouses for sale on the Upper Westside. This seemed to materialize last Friday. All at once. Any info on this?

A lot of the listings have been on the market for a long time (1yr+), taken off in the summer, put on again this week. Notable - vacant 5 stories under 4m. If you are interested, I would try lowballing a few.
