alpine, converting to a partisan doesn't automatically make you an east coast elite. You are as dumb as you have been before, when everyone was dumping on you. Now only 50% does.

As much as might like TOP to be true, its probably not. President omits many races like FL, Nevada and KT where the tea party candidate is competitive or ahead.

Mr. President:

That you have to cite the most pro-Democratic states in the nation as evidence of their
ability to win an election is in fact evidence of how much trouble they are in, a fact
which is corroborated by the polls you didnt cite:

1. West Virg: Dem. Manchin -6 and sinking. And he supported Cap'n Trade:like seeeing pork at an AlQueda rally
2. Nevada: Harry Reid -4 after the state's largest paper, which endorsed him in 2004, endorsed his opponent
3. Wisconsin: Feingold losing support more rapidly than Obamacare and now down 8-12 and sinking
4. Pennsylvania: Sestak down 8-12
5. Colorada: Bennett down 4-8 and on track to be 2nd Sen. Bennett defeated in the polls this year
6. and then there are the Murphys, Dem. House members in Conn. Penn and NY
7. each polled 8-10+ at the start of August
8. now each has just polled down about 8 points, except maybe NY Murph
9. in WWII, the five Sullivan brothers all died when one US ship was sunk
10.in 2010, those three Dem. House Murphys are likely to join them in Davey Jones' locker

"West Virg: Dem. Manchin -6 and sinking."

Good. He was actually the only Dem to be endorsed by the US Chamber of Commerce. How any Dem could accept their endorsement is beyond me.

Also, the Dems are not in that bad of shape when you exclude the BS Rasmussen "polls"

And in Washington, Patty Murray is ahead. Just a few weeks ago, that was a race that the Republicans thought they had a good chance of winning.

Republicans MUST win Democratic states if they want to take back control of the Senate. But right now they are only winning in red and "purple" states.

Mt. President:

1. you seem as detached from reality as your namesake in Washington
2. Patty Murray in Washington just polled 3-3 and -6
3. the Republicans now lead for ten Democratic Senate seats while holding all their own
4. and only need 9 to control of the Sanate if Joe Lieberman doesnt caucus with the Dems
5. moreover, 27 term incumbent Dingell in Michigan just polled -9
6. plus, Charlie Cook just wrote off 12 House Dem incumbents as GOP pick-ups
7. it's not the Repubs who need to win Democratic states: they're doing that everywhere
8. it's the Democrats who need to

"it's not the Repubs who need to win Democratic states: they're doing that everywhere"

Except in California, Delaware, NY, Connecticut, Oregon, and Vermont.

ok, fine, you are right about Washington state. But in every other BLUE state, the Republicans are getting their butts kicked. McMahon and O'Donnell are sinking ships.

The Republicans are also going to get their butts kicked in the governor's races. It will be so much fun to watch. My favorite race is in Colorado:

Republican Party ditches GOP nominee for Colorado governor
Dan Maes won the primary, but the party is withdrawing its support, saying the 'tea party' candidate is not running a professional campaign.

Reporting from Denver — The Republican Party is walking away from Dan Maes, a small-time businessman and political novice with "tea party" backing who captured Colorado's GOP gubernatorial nomination, scrambling the race less than seven weeks before election day.

Maes has been disavowed by pillars of the Republican establishment — including former Sen. Hank Brown and current U.S. Senate candidate Ken Buck. The chairman of the state Republican Party flatly said Maes is not running a professional campaign and called on him to drop out before ballots were printed Sept. 3. The Republican Governors Assn. refuses to help fund his campaign.

The guy who started this thread seems very happy that New York will continue to be run by Dems and will continue to have the highest taxes and spending of just about any state in the country. Maybe he's a tax laywer or something.

I think it's excellent Mr President and the clueless Left are convinced they're winning the battle for a socialist America. Heck, if the Puffington Host and Jon Stewart tell you it's OK, guess it's so.
I suggest they all stay home Nov 2nd because they're way ahead and have nothing to worry about.
