Discussion about
When are the rates supposed to come back down?
why would you think rates are going down? Aren't they low enough already?
Follow 10 year treasury. Rates look to be heading back up, not down at the moment
i got a 4.625 on a 30-year just yesterday. can't argue with that.
Rates were more like 4.25 for a 30 year a month ago and with QE2 I though credit was supposed to get cheaper...

10 year has been declining.
my mortage broker said rates shot up because of what's happening in North Korea.
I guess the best rates ever are behind us now that the economy is improving :)
YES, "improving" economy for ppl w/ jobs means I'll earn more than 1% on my cash.... and 50% on my about to purchase 3bdrm CPW unit.... BRING IT BERNIE! Love it love it love it!
Let the second dip begin!
I don't think there will be a second dip. Would have to call it a first dip as it has been so long since the last dip.
4.375 via citi on a 30 year fixed - closed about a month ago. (if we had of done it a week earlier could have gotten 4.25 :(
Has anyone gotten a good rate on a new development without buying mortgage insurance?
4.25 on 30 year last week.
What was the percentage of units in contract when you purchased?
NYNYNYNY it is at 2.97, that is as high as it has been since July, it is not declining
4.375 0 points yesterday. Wells Fargo. Through a broker who quoted lower rates than going through wells fargo directly
thats for 30 yr fixed
UES Shopper - Are you getting this rate for a jumbo, coop or condo. Citibank is quoting a higher rate 4.75 for jumbo, coop, 30 year fixed
UES shpper is that an FHA? if not can you tell us your contact?
not fha. not a jumbo.
Liberty financial upstate ny but they have a 212 number and told me they do many nyc loans. 877-329-7709. spoke to pat.
Try Manhattan Mortgage. That's where i got 4.25% on a standard 30 year. Not sure of you can still get that now.
President: you need a new mortgage broker. This rate move has absolutely nothing to do with North Korea. Rates started worsening immediately following the QE2 announcement due to inflationary concerns about the program, and accelerated as we've had some relatively good economic news of late.
Nosy: You don't need mortgage insurance on new developments unless you're putting down less than 20%, just as you would with any property type. As long as the building has decent pre-sale, owner-occupancy numbers, and reserves, you would get the same market rates as any property type. If the building is deficient in any of the above, then you would likely have to pay slightly higher rates.
It seems as if we've seen the lows in rates. Yesterday, rates worsened considerably and today rates are at their highest levels in quite a while.
Will home prices be forced down as rates move up? Feeling lucky to have gotten 4.25%
NYmortgage:The building presently has 25% in contract. Still waiting on certificate of occupancy. I'm putting 35% down. How much is a slightly higher rate?
'Will prices go down.....'. R u Fking kidding me. Will men take a peak at a set of nice headlights, if the pink bra falls off? What kind of question is that
@w67 Thanks for the enlightenment? You're the best.
