Well, I had some living next door to me, but it wasn't their fault, they were raised in the South. Oh, you mean pets?

I lived in a Glenwood building when my dog was a puppy and the building had a policy which allowed pets under 25 pounds. However, if anyone made a complaint against a pet, the building was very quick to send the tenant a warning letter. Personally, I would look for a rental building which allows pets of any size even if you have a small dog. These buildings genuinely "allow" pets.

Jpd,

We looked at most of the glenwoods, nice sized apts for the money but we had a dog, not good. We ended up moving to a BLDG building, we couldnt be happier. We moved here about3 years ago, they paid the broker fee and gave us a free months rent, when we went to renew, they gave us a 2 year lease which was less money then the year before.

primer05, you are lying. BLDG has never, ever offered a "double concession" of a months free and paying a brokers fee. they do pay the brokers fee, but thats it.

When I lived at Liberty Plaza, it seemed like every other tenant had a dog. They're definitely allowed, although it's possible there's a weight limit.

Maybe better / preferred brokers can get more for their clients.

scummy surly-assed loser rental brokers always do worse for their clients than clients could on their own---
and why would you use a broker for a glenwood apt--they're ny bits, arent they??

i feel awful for the people who wait in my lobby for their rental-broker, when they should have just called the mgmt co on their own

You can also usually get more flexibility in a condo building when it comes to pets-it's worth a shot. Good Luck.

Why would I lie?

My wife, used a broker at Citi Habitats, I thought it was a bad move but sure enough. 1 month free and they paid the broker

Hey Jim,

Would you care to make a bet on it?

Maybe they did it because we wanted a three bedroom and were going to renovate all the common areas so they wanted to rent as many as they could?

That's nice to know, hones. Maybe Primer's broker screwed primer into paying 10% more than you can get your clients to pay. The point is that rather than asking for the details about something that doesn't make sense to you, you just call the person a liar like a loser arrogant idiot.

I don't know Primer from Adam, but I'd like some action on his bet if you decide not to run with your tail between your legs.

Uhh Jim, are you really stupid enough to believe that because you take building management to Yankees games and buy them gifts that you have more pull? Maybe they just take advantage of you? Maybe they still think "you're just a stupid contrary (sic) piece of shit?" Maybe other people are getting better deals than you're able to provide because they command more respect?

Maybe you're learning a little lesson here? (O.K., I know that's unlikely).

Lets hope he bets me. Thank you Inonada for your comments but just for the record I am paying less then 6k a month on a 3 bedroom with a dining alcove and huge kitchen, 2 full baths. So I am pretty sure the broker did not screw us.

goldie, honey, you've got the wrong end of the stick. they take ME to yankee games, buy gifts etc. that's how business works. as the supplier of a product (in this case apartments) they are the ones that would reward someone who sells (rents) their inventory.

Jeff, an "n" line at the york. I've looked up all transactions going back 3 yrs, and don't see any having rented with a double concession, despite the ongoing upgrade to the common areas. I'm not in the city, and wouldn't waste my time head
ng uptown if I was.

Numbnuts, a bet involves passing of money. How much are you in for? I say we do loser pays a month's rent for the other guy, whatever it may be. Go ask permission from your wife, if you can play we'll figure out the details. I'm not here to bet over bragging rights on SE.

I have no clue as to the specifics, hones. Just knew you were a lying sack of shit. Now I know you're chicken shit too. You have all the info at your fingertips, yet you won't make the bet. What a loser. Why don't you come back with a new persona who is willing to back all the talk? I know SE took out 300 of them, but I bet you have more.

i really think that this board would be a better place without: west67th, columbiacounty and aboutready. i would settle for anyone of the three finding a new hobby but all three would be most ideal.
i am not a new poster...i am an old poster sick of all of your antics
i am a real estate professional (if that matters at all)
i do seek and ocassionally try and give guidance on this board, but find all three of you beyond intolerable

1. I do not care. I told someone of my experience you called me a liar. I would like to bet, you can come with me to visit the broker that did the deal, I will bet you any amount of money, any. Judging from the amount of class you have I would imagine the bet would be for about $2.00

Who are you to call anyone women a whore? Now i see why you will not meet as you are a coward who only can talk behind a computer

"Primer, bet how?"

It's pretty easy. First figure out the amount you'd like to bet. Then ask permission from your wife, explaining how you opened your big fat mouth again. Explain to her that rental brokers, particularly rude ones, rule the world and know everything, how this is a sure thing just like marrying you. I'll pay for the escrow account, everyone deposits money. We all go to Primer's broker's office, get the story from him/her. We see Primer's lease that shows free month. Primer and I are paid, we throw you a $100 bill so you can take the 2nd Ave bus downtown to a nice dinner spot where you explain why you cannot contribute to the tuition fund this year because you blew it on inonada's rent.

Or you can just ignore the issue and admit you don't know everything about the rental market. We're laying out free money here for you, right? Come grab it.

I guess the wife said "no", yah? Oh well, maybe she'll let you play next time. Or did BLDG set you straight and explain to you how they did make an exception in just this one case, nowhere else ever, just the one, promise you're still the man, they'll still take you to the Yanks and buy you a hot dog if you just key-sherpa a few more apts?

Either case, a buffoon rental broker who doesn't know shit about the rental market yet opens his big fat mouth just to have it stuffed.

I don't need to bet to know I'm right. I guess that's the province of people like you. Right up there with penis envy.

Jim,

The problem is this:

You called me a liar. You said to someone else that his wife is a whore. You will not say who you even work for, if in fact you have a job and then you don't want anyone to know who you are?

I wonder why that is. I have met several people on these boards and have ended up doing business with them.

Why do come on these boards? The only thing I can

Why do you come on these boards? What is the purpose?
