anybody have info/recommendations on east harlem new developments? we are looking at LIC and east harlem, and i do like the idea of staying on the island of manhattan for transportation purposes. this one seems to be very close to the 6 train, but i can't find any information on it online. http://www.miradanyc.com/ thanks! alexandra
where did you find http://www.miradanyc.com/ at? where is it going to be located? I just moved to E. Harlem from Williamsburg
i saw at walking through the neighborhood, it is on 110th between 3rd and lex, i believe. it is across from savoy bakery, next to the post office, on the north side, on the same block as the 6 train. looks like a big new development. maybe i should just call them! : )
I emailed them and got a marketing email back from them. Did you email them? hope all is well

Hello,
I rent right near where they are building MiradaNYC and its got a lot of good points.
Steps from the subway which in my experience makes a huge difference in travel time. The 6 train in my opinion is the most relible subway line.
There is a grocery store across the street.
Nice bakery across the street.
The only thing is in the summer that street is filled with partygoers etc ( puetro rico fest)It will be noisy.
Cool Nikb. I am off 117th and have not had a chance to see MirandaNYC. Thanks!
Hi Mickey,
I am on 116 and lex, we have probably passed each other at some point. Have you seen anything available on 117? I originally thought that this might be an affordable option but I have seen anything available.
nik email at mickeytcu@aol.com we can talk about the area :-)
cool will do !
LIC is a great investment for a variety of reasons. One, it is close to Manhattan if you drive. Two, there are several train lines. Three, the Water Taxi can get you there in a real jam - like transit strike. Fourth, safety and security are really good. Finally, the area is growing. At current rates of 700 to 800 sq ft, the properties are at a premium, but if the area gains commercial office tenants, the price per sq ft may double in five years. What LIC is missing are office jobs and amenities like cafes and shops. Once these are in place, the area will have a new infusion of people.
Oh that block is just horrible. I have friends who live on that block and have been held up numerous times. They have complained to authorities for years and gotten no help. I cannot see investing money there even if the train is closeby.
(110th Street between Third and Lex, near the 6 train.)
Why did you choose the east side of harlem?....As opposed to central harlem
for me, i work in midtown east, and ever since i moved to new york the 6 train has been my favorite (have lived in UES mostly and worked on east side as well), so i guess it's just a case of familiarity
just found this blog talking about two condos in east harlem
