building at 116 Central Park South

What the heck IS going on here? This seems like a prime location.

It is not a very nice building. There are no amenities other than a dark windowless closet for a gym. The apartments that face the park almost never come up for sale. The lobby connects to the "back" building that is really on 58th Street. So all the apartments listed are small apts with no views on 58th street. I think there are apartments for sale here on a regular basis.

this building has a mix of investors and residents. Many are attracted due to its location and because it is a condominium, which makes sales easier. There is nothing wrong with it - I lived in 116 CPS for almost 15 years. The location is excellent, and the doormen are very courteous.
