The good works still sold but it appears the Little Black Arrows have pierced the auction block, deflating the wildly overpriced garbage that previously moved without effort.

I'm personally more curious to see how the Contemporary auctions do next week - they're more the bell-weather of the current art market, not the Impressionist stuff that was sold over the last two evenings...on the other hand, I have been shorting Sothebys stock really hard since Monday, so I can't complain after today's results!!
