I viewed a bank-owned condo where the previous owner apparently ripped out a lot of elements: needs a full kitchen, two full baths, HVAC, and there is some strange step of wood flooring along one wall on the second floor that makes me wonder whether it's covering something structural, or if it can be demo'd and made level with the rest of the floor. It seems like a random step. I can't tell from the floor below why it would be there. This last issue pretty much decides whether I attempt to purchase it or not. I need a reco for a highly skilled contractor who will visit the condo with me and be able to help me get a sense of what I'm in for and can help me understand what's going on under that floor. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a way to find original architectural plans before I purchase that might tell me something? Thanks for any help. [less]
I would be happy to help you.
