What those involved in the posts so far do not know is that 4E was an unlivable wreck when we bought it in 2004 as a sponsor's unit. We totally redid it into a very nice, large (almost 600 sq. feet) studio. It should have brought and did bring a nice price when it was sold to help us buy 14EF after we decided to live in New York full time. As noted the 14EF purchase was made at the top of the market. Presumably the price today would be a bit lower though we love the apartment and have no regrets. But it has a wonderful layout, great open spaces and a beautiful kitchen. We also made quite a few improvements after buying it. At the time we bought it, the price was comparable to other nice three bedrooms on the market that we looked at. We lost two in other buildings in bidding wars. We like the building very much and were delighted we could stay in it.
