Our super's apt has a really crappy finance rate. We have been told by the management company, if we try to refinance and the appraisal comes in less, it would be a problem and the bank might ask us to pay the full amount? I have never heard of that. any insight is helpful

I never heard of this either. Unless there's something in the note that you haven't seen.
