This building has thin walls and floors. You can hear everything the neighbors do.

complain... to the super, managing agent, police... sleep with ear plugs, have wall to wall carpeting.... Unless you have money to gut the apartment and have it professionally soundproofed, buy elsewhere. If you have a schmuck as a neighbor it can be hell.

The building used to be two brownstones. It was renovated (cheaply) in the 1970s. There is no insulation between apartment walls and floors.
