i'm not familiar with that particular block, but sidewalks are too narrow. and you can't extend them into the street, because streets are narrow too. what to do? any day now they'll start building a elevated streets for regular driving and make groundlevel streets for walking and only accessible every few blocks, like exits on a highway.
