resubmit financial info on lease renewals?

My lease renewal came a while back. Amongst the regular paperwork there was a sheet asking that I update "for their files". They were asking about employment, wages and accounts. Is this compulsory?

They can ask. I wouldnt provide it unless they are making your lease renewal conditional, so ignore it and see if they ask again.
