Hi, I have a brand new bathroom and would like to redo the wall tiles. I have 50 sq/ft of clean bare walls that I would put new tile on, and 115 sq/ft of tile that would be removed and replaced with new tile. Is $3550 for labor only, not include materials which I'd buy myself, a good deal? Thanks
I think that is too high. What kind of tile?
50 sq/ft of glass tile, 115 of stone tile. Materials are *not* included in the price however, it is just the labor.
Thanks
Too much.My tile guy would be cheaper, if you want him email me at primerenovations@mac.com
Tile removal should be about $500. Installation of new tile should be about $8/sf. You should be paying no more than $2000 for labor.
way too expensive ... I could have an entire bathroom including replacing all plumbing and
installing all new everything done for less than that
RB,
Really? I dont think so. A licensed plumber charges roughly $3,500-4,500.00 for a bathroom so unless you are doing the plumbing yourself i dont think so.
Hejiranyc,
Maybe $8.00 a sq ft for a commercial project that is 10,000 sq ft. It is not $8.00 sq ft to tile a bathroom. It should cost about $20.00 a sq ft for the glass and about $12-$15 a sq ft for the rest
I think it's incredibly wasteful to destroy something brand-new and replace it with something else brand-new just because of a preference.
