Temporary Housing Suggestions

I need to be out of my month to month rental by 4/1 and can't move into the apt I bought until June 1. Any suggestions for temporary housing and storage for 2 months? Anyone else have a similar situation. i don't want an adversarial relationship with my landlady. I rented from her in a condo building for 8 years. She had told me in the summer that she would try to sell it. When my lease was up in Feb we decided to go month to month. She had told me she had a buyer about 3 weeks ago and that i need to be out by 4/15. I tried to find a place and finally did. However, I just don't know what to do since my apt won't be closed until June 1. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

It might be a long shot, but see if you can get the buyer's contact info from your landlady and try to convince the buyer to let you stay through May. Perhaps renovation can't start right away because of necessary planning/design and paperwork, and the new owner might not mine having some income in the mean time. You can say her architect/designer/contractor etc. can visit anytime. Provide proof that you purchased your own place already to show you won't be trouble when it's time to move.

It doesn't cost anything to ask your landlady if you can rent from her buyer until June 1st, adding that you are closing on a purchase. If the answer is negative (let's face it, 9 out of 10 it will be), you can always use CL or vrbo for a furnished short-term rental.
