Discussion about 130 East 75th Street #5E
Apt. on market almost 3 years. Looks decent. Other than being overpriced any other thoughts as to why it is lingering........

Was overpriced 3 years ago and needed a gut reno. Seller was stubbourn and unrealistic and didn't lower price. Finally, like many behind the curve, decided to not only cut the price but also renovate the place. Now you have an overpriced, renovated to someone elses taste apartment still on the market. Obviously what they should have done and will need to do now is cut the price significantly or keep holding out for the needle in the haystack buyer. They have shown patience (on market for 3 years) so I would not put that past them. They were given a lot of poor advice and/or made poor decisions. Even with a price cut someone coming in is going to be reluctant to do work to areas that just went through renovations. Big mistake. Double mistake b/c the seller put up money to do the renovations and won't get paid b/c will need to cut price. Should have left it as a dump and let buyer renovate it to their liking.

wuttup with calling a classic 6 a 6.5 room, as tho that warrants an asking way above market

at least the reno is not over the top gaudy
