Producers of “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” were cited by U.S. regulators for workplace safety violations after injuries to actors in the Broadway show. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration today proposed fining producers of the $65 million show $12,600 for “serious” violations. “Employees were exposed to the hazards of falls or being struck during flying routines because of improperly adjusted or unsecured safety harnesses,” the agency said today in an e- mailed statement. The producers have 15 business days from receipt of OSHA’s citations to contest the findings. The violations were all categorized as serious, which means there is a substantial probability of death or serious injuries which an employer knew about or should have known. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-03-04/-spider-man-broadway-musical-cited-by-u-s-for-serious-safety-breaches.html [less]
Riversider: Oh, that show is a mess.
It's dangerous for the actors, and potentially to the audience.
I saw it in one of its ongoing "previews". It's just not a good show.
Look for it to close, at a total loss to investors.
A la Young Frankenstein.
Truth, kind-a reminds me of this skit...

That's so funny. The M.Python skits are timeless.

Riversider:
alanhart, here yet again with a moronic comment.
He's a hopeless slave to his master. She has his real name, and knows things about him.
I don't know, nor do I care, what those things are "about".
.
Intelligent, in his case; doesn't=smart.Anybody with half a brain knows when they are being manipulated.
He has no choice but to continue making a fool of himself on SE, trolling around with his comments which have no value except to disrupt discussions.
That's the price he paid in order to belong to that gang.
He's a lap-dog to his master.
cc. not only lost his individual voice -- he took the gang's advice; and ended up a casualty of that gang.
And, he's angry - at me and everybody else on SE, except for those who led him down the losing path.
cc. is in the same boat as LizYank. Nothing good can happen for them, and if ever somebody on SE helps them (in Liz's case, to earn some money and pay some bills; from work opportunities provided by others-- not in the gang -- which provides NOTHING -- their master makes sure to whip them back down.)
talk about moronic. and psychotic.
She has the cancelled check.
Anyone else notice that Truth writes she works in the propaganda bureau for a communist regime? "He's a lap-dog to his master" is very close to "running dogs of imperialism." I wonder if the running dogs also had collars through which their master could zap them.
Sorry, "writes as if she works."
