Discussion about
Hello all, Does anyone have a pigeon control service to recommend? We're having problems with pigeons roosting on a ledge and air conditioner. I'm almost out of my mind!!! Need someone to come put up spikes, deterrents, etc. Thanks.

I had that problem a few years ago. The only solution was to throw moth balls up there (if you can find them) and the odor makes them move. I did that monthly and finally they just gave up and never returned.

How about ticketing those people who insist on leaving out bread crumbs which wind up feeding the rats and pigeons, which only result in more rats and pigeons. If you care about wildlife maybe you should donate time or money to the zoo or a wild life fund.

How about an inflatable owl scarecrow? Don't tied it down too tight so that it would move with the wind a bit.

jas, also had that problem, multiple fecund brooding under AC on ledge. Tried everything. Wouldn't recommend mothballs, as they are toxic and rain will disperse them. What did work was to put plastic spikes as a physical barrier (on top of AC and between AC and ledge). Super can install. Source them at nearest "pest control" store from your zip. Very easy and inexpensive solution to Bill and Coo issue, even tho method results in "kicking the can down the road" to neighbors' ledges.

I'd recommend the guys at http://www.phoenixpigeons.com they are the masters when it comes to pigeon control and removal!
