how much should I pay to trim a metal door

The super in my building was kind enough to remove the metal door, and cut it 1/4 inch when I needed it done asap. Technically it was more of a favor than an official job, but how much should I give him assuming I want to pay him like it was a real job? Thanks

That really depends on who you would hire. Contractors do have overhead where the super does not. I think it would be reasonable to pay him $100-$200.00
