Discussion about

It's ok. But I much prefer:

Lower maintenance; 12th floor, with sun and views; and doesn't need any work. I don't love that 51 5th layout: the so-called "dining area" looks to me like windowless wasted space. To me it sort of screams out that it was hacked out of a larger apartment. That said, it does have 2 baths, whereas 21 east 10th has only one, so that could make the difference.

HappyRenter: Great Apartment. I agree. But I do need 2 baths...Seems to be the hardest thing to find. a 2/2 that's done well enough under 1.6. Frustrating.

dtd:
a little digging reveals this: http://img.streeteasy.com/nyc/image/83/3036083.png

that huge bathroom with washer/dryer in 12E was originally two bathrooms--albeit not large ones. so it's not impossible.

Thank you HappyRenter. Those are some good options and great that you found that floor plan. I'll check it out tomorrow.
