I am thinking of ways to heat up a bathroom: a. Heated floors b. Heated towel rack c. Heating lamp I am not sure which one is the best. I am looking for instant heat-up if possible and it will last about 30 mins at most. I have heard heated floors are slow to heat up and need a thermostat, while heating lamp is almost instance, it is archaic. Not sure about heated towel rack.
Shower? Sorry, had to say it.
Electric Toe kick heaters are great...

The towel warmer warms towels very well but not enough heat for the bathroom. In my opinion radiant heat is the way to go.
Candles,Barry White and lots o' lube?
Spent nuclear fuel rods? Sorry, had to say it.
Those infrared heating bulbs work good and fast, my parent's house has them.
Don't know the electrical use factor, but their only on 5/10 mins.
We had the heated floors installed in all 3 bathrooms when we did our renovation last year. They have a thermostat which also has a timer on it so if you want the bathroom warm at a particular time each morning, there should be no problem. Also, having the timer on the thermostat prevents you from needlessly keeping the electricity on all day when you don't need it.
Heated bulbs, and don't forget your heated toilet seat!
i don't know what this is called, but the bathrooms at my parents' place have a switch that makes hot air come out of the bathroom vent. not the thing where the heat and ac comes from, but the vent. there is no thermostat, it's just one switch. it heats the bathroom within a few seconds and then you turn it off. it's really nice. one day when we grow up, we might do this in our house.
