Discussion about
What do you think the range is for a low to mid-range renovation of a kitchen and two bathrooms? Nothing fancy, no structural changes. Thanks for your feedback.

It's hard to say without knowing more info. Is the building a prewar? Are the walls Sheetrock? does your building require that all the plumbing be replaced back to the riser?

I would say an average bathroom in Manhattan that is a full gut renovation will cost you anywhere from 20k-25k for a mid range
The kitchen mid range around 25k -30k

A contractor recently quoted me $30k-$40K to gut renovate a bath. $20k seems reasonable to me.

Thanks, Primer and PMG. I'm sadly not very savvy about the details. The building is postwar. That's about all I know.

I have 2 companies to recommend. If your building requires you to hire a general contractor who is licensed and insured then call Inti Renovation (www.intirenovation.com) at 347-746-8439. If you can go commando and just hire anyone go with Julio from Bonete Renovation - his prices are lower and quality is great sans docs (718-781-9904).
