Breaking a Lease

Hi All, I'm looking to break my 1-year lease on a 2 BR in the UES. My roommate reverse commutes from CT and its just not working out for us. I've been posting and re-posting on Craig's List but it is very difficult to make my listing stand out with all the spam and also difficult to find an applicant who has good credit. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You have ZERO chance of coming out whole.

Once you accept the above, then you are on your path to finding a solution.

You need to incentivize someone to take your place. How much are you willing to subsidize it? Realize that the other person knows that every month you waste trying to get top dollar, is a full month of lost rent for you.
