Discussion about
In search of LES (around Allen to Norfolk / Delancey to Houston) East Village (around Houston to 6th / Broadway to 2nd ave) Budget under $2200. Lots of windows or balcony ideal, facing the street.
jifjif:
I own down there and recently re-investigated market prices. Your
budget sounds doable
From what I have been looking online, they all seem quite typical; two small windows facing the street or back and thats it.
Anything more with widows that you know of?
jifjif:
I havent looked for purposes of renting but for purposes of pricing out
one of my apts so I really havent paid attention and dont recall.
Try Bettina Equities (google them). They have two pretty decent buildings in the EV. I lived in the one on 10th between 1st and A for a long time (254 East 10th).
Thanks Bernie
Anyone else know more property management companies in that area?
jifjif:
Many of the rental units in that area aee owned by small investors. Most of the
apts owned by large institutions are ikely to be either very expensive or located
in out of the way areas, like Houston Street and Avenues C or D.
Try SE and CL. CL is full of EV rentals. And with Google Earth, you can see the
front of a building before you trek out to see it.
a budget under $2200 will not get you a lot of windows and a balcony in the lower east side unfortunately.
Nofeerentals.om. Lol!
find a good agent, and prepare to pay 12-15% in broker's fees. That is the ONLY thing that will help you find what you want.
