This apartment has just been re-listed at about a million dollars more than the asking price 10 months ago, making it easily the most expensive 2 bedroom apartment on the Upper East Side. And it is $1K per sq. ft. more than any other apartment in the building. Anyone know why?

kinda sweet how they connected the 2000 price with the 2011 price: drop a 3 infront of it.

It must be a mistake. Then again, three brokers in three years says "crackpot owner."

Look at 9D -- http://streeteasy.com/nyc/sale/598006-condo-30-east-85th-street-upper-east-side-new-york -- asking half as much for same size with better layout, kitchen, closets, light, and master bath.

Owner hasn't paid CCs since October, as per Lien of Common Charges filed by the condo.

That's interesting about the lien. I'm wondering if maybe the owner is foreign, and his/her national currency has become devalued against the dollar and they are trying to get their money back in their own currency. This listing also boasts a "private outdoor space", which this apartment does not have. And I agree that this indicates a crackpot owner.

To continue the entertainment, take a look at the current Streeteasy History for this apartment, which is now listed by DE at $3,995,000.
