My gf just found out that the her high rise bldg (midtown west) at lease renewal will tear down the walls of her converted (3rd rm) apartment. Is this city wide or related to specific bldgs? I heard previously that if a wall was built prior to the law taking effect last summer? that tenants were allowed to keep the walls up. How are others dealing with this? Seems like this will push out a number of manhattan residents to the outer boroughs. thx
