Has anybody had issues with DOB permitting, fines, threatened evictions, etc. for living in an owned A-I-R co-op loft without artist certification?

And a related question - what % discount on ppsq ft basis would you look for if you were buying in an AIR building?

Pretty scary stuff. I'm really torn about bidding for a great apartment that is A-I-R and would love to hear any thoughts from the SE community...
